New access and booking arrangements for consulting materials in the Reading Room

This week, with the handover of the works site, the final phase has begun of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) activities dedicated to removing physical and intangible barriers at the Cagliari State Archives.
The project, for which the contracting authority is the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the Metropolitan City of Cagliari and the provinces of Oristano and Southern Sardinia, provides for the installation of lifts and ramps and tactile guidance paths. It also includes the reorganisation of the Reading Room and the inventories room. For this reason, until June 2026 the Archives will not be accessible from the main entrance at Via Gallura 2. Access will be from Via Gallura 4.
Consultation will continue by appointment due to the construction works and related activities, which will reduce the available space in the institution.
For consulting materials in the Reading Room, please write well in advance of the date on which you wish to visit to the email address as-ca.salastudio.richieste@cultura.gov.it and wait for a reply from the Archive
Users will receive confirmation of the date, time and access arrangements.

Please consult the website and the institution’s social media channels for updates.
